Maggi Summerhill

Originally from Denmark I now live in South Wales UK with my adoring and adorable husband and our two gorgeous young boys. I lost part of my hearing in my teens, but went on to work in Marketing and PR after completing an apprenticeship with Leo Burnett DK. Later my hearing loss became progressively worse and recently I have come to a stage of not being able to understand speech. The positive effect is I do more writing than talking lately, a welcome change to some and with the unfaltering support of my husband and children. I have achieved an MA in creative and script writing at the oldest university in Wales Lampeter, where I had the privilege to work with the producer and screen writer Carol Byrne Jones, the screen and script writer Lucy Gough and playwright Dic Edwards. My external examiner was the multi talented Hattie Naylor. I have since written a radio play and contributed to an anthology published by Parthian, The Month Had 32 Days: available from Amazon UK. I am revising the first draft of my first novel, while exploring other mediums such as twitter (@MaggiSummerhill), facebook Maggi Summerhill, hubpages etc, while my agent is holidaying in Morocco or was it Rome?
